GALA TRUST AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES (GALA TRUST) and REGAL TRUST LTD. are companies that belong to Grupo Gala, whose holding company is the law firm GALINDO, ARIAS & LOPEZ.

The two companies combine to offer specialized expertise in the field of effective estate management. At present they manage a significant number of trusts, maintaining one of the largest trust portfolios in the country, representing over 20% of the total number of trusts managed by law firms in Panama.  Management of these portfolios is handled by qualified professionals who, using state-of-the-art computer systems, leverage their vast experience in trust management to add value for our customers.

Background

Gala Trust and Management Services, Inc. is a company duly incorporated pursuant to the laws of the Republic of Panama.  Its Articles of Incorporation were formalized by Public Deed No. 5,875 dated July 23, 1981, as registered at the Public Registry in the Microfiche Section (Mercantile), Fiche 075941, Roll 6659, Image 0080, effective August 5, 1981. In 1982 a type “B” commercial license was obtained, granted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and in 1996, through Fiduciary Resolution No. 10-96 of October 31, 1996, a fiduciary license for the exercise of trust activity was obtained.

The Superintendent of Banks provides ongoing oversight of the company to ensure our compliance with all requirements related to the operation of trusts, the “know your client” policy, as well as due administration of assets received in trust.  In addition, we are audited every year by an prestigious auditor company, which in turn reports to the Superintendent of Banks.

Gala Trust and Management Services, Inc. is listed on the New York Stock Exchange as stockholder.
